PLANNING QUESTIONNAIRE
Within this task I am going to be planning my music magazine questionnaire. My aim is to find out useful information which will allow me to develop and create my own product. I'm looking towards to find out more about my target audience. This includes; genre of music they like, what they want to read about and how they define a successful magazine layout. I also want to know how often the audience is  purchasing  magazines,  what attracts their attention and  how much money they're willing to spent. 

WHAT DO I WANT TO FIND OUT & WHY ?

I will start off my questionnaire with standard questions in which I am going to ask about audience's age and gender. This will allow me to identify whether the questionnaire is biased or not. My aim is to find a range of information from different age groups. The next question I am interested in asking is about purchasing magazines. This will allow me to see whether people are interested in magazines and if they are updated with developing industry. I also want to know what they are interested  in seeing within the magazine. This will help me to structure my contents page as well as double page spread as I will have an idea of what they want to see. Additionally, this will benefit me while thinking about feature list.  I will also create a question which will be focused on the front cover features. This will give me information about elements which bring audiences attention.

Furthermore, I still haven't decided the genre of music I will be focusing on. Within the questionnaire I am planning to find out which genre of music is mostly appealing to certain age group. However, one of the genre's which caught my attention was alternative music which is focused within the Q magazine. I am also willing to find out what the audience would want to see within a product focused on this genre. Besides,  I want discover whether the audience would be interested in magazine specialising in unknown artists and whether a free gift would encourage them to buy a certain product, as this marketing technique is specially used within this type of magazine ( E.g; Free CD).

TIME MANAGEMENT 

I am planning to gather the  answers online as well as by handing out printed versions of the questionnaire. This will benefit my research as I will gather information from different sources. Besides, I am planning to collect my results within a week - from 12th to 19th of February. After this task I will have a clear view on what genre of music I will be focusing on and what the audience wants to see. This will make my further planning much easier and quicker as I will have an idea of what to include.
